Season's Greetings

Hello,

Here is another card that I made for the Holiday Bazaar. One thing that I love about Stampin' Up! is that you can purchase stamp sets and punches that coordinate. Plus....Stampin' Up! takes the guess work out of trying to match your inks, card stock, dsp, ribbons, buttons, brads, and etc, because SU has done that job for us!

The Stitched Stockings stamp set that I used on this card was punched out using the coordinating Stocking Builder Punch. Now how easy is that....stamp then punch. This stamp set & punch are in the Holiday Mini Catalog and are available until January 3, 2012. We just received word from Stampin' Up! that one of the most popular items in the current Holiday Mini will not be carried over to the brand new Idea Book & Catalog that comes out July 1st, 2012!! That popular item would be the Stocking Builder Punch. If you have thought about purchasing this punch at a later date, you might want to order one now before they are gone. You can contact me to place your order or visit my on~line store by clicking here.

You can also view another card that I made using this stamp set & punch by clicking here.

I am working on a schedule and designing some classes to offer to you after the first of the year. Please let me know if you would be interested in Scrapbook or Cardmaking classes. Watch for upcoming details!

Have a great day!

MIA

Hello,
I wanted to pop in to say that I'm sorry for Missing In Action lately. Please don't give up on visiting my blog! These last few weeks have been soooo busy! My daughter, son~in~law and two grandbabies have been searching for a new place to live, so they have stayed with us & kept us company for the last two months. They found a home last week and moved out on their own. It just seems so strange to come home in the evening and them not being here. We have also been short handed at work, so I have been working some overtime, plus I have been working in the evenings on items for a Christmas Bazaar.

I have some new projects complete, I just need to get them uploaded so that I can share them with you. So....PLEASE come back soon to visit!

A Merry Christmas Holiday Stocking

Hello,

Last Saturday I went with several friends to Louisville, KY to a Stampin' Up! Regional meeting. We had such a great time! Lots of training, ideas and just good ole' friendships. At every Stampin' Up! event we always have the opportunity to take cards to swap with other SU demonstrators. I really enjoy doing this because there are so many talented demonstrators that I always come home with a lot of new ideas. The above stockings were my swaps that I took this year. I made 50 of these stockings, so I came home with that many swaps in return.

It's a little hard to see in this picture, but I ran my stockings through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I think this Embossing Folder made these stockings a little vintage looking. I was happy with the way they turned out. (If you click on the image you can get a closer look)

**These stockings can be used as a Christmas card or they make a great gift card holder.

Products used:
Naturals White Card Stock, Bravo Burgundy Card Stock, Old Olive Card Stock, Holiday Stocking Bigz L Die, Bells & Boughs stamp set, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Scallop Trim Border punch, Snowflake punch, Boho Blossoms punch, Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and Silver Brads.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great day!

Thank You ~ Baby Card

Hello,

My daughter is expecting and her place of employment had a baby shower for her recently. She came to me asking for a "Thank You" baby card, so this is what I came up with. If you follow my blog, this card may look familiar. I actually made another baby card almost identical to this one and posted it earlier. You can see it here. I did change the greeting by replacing the banner in the previous card with this Jewelry Tag punched greeting.

(Sorry for the poor lighting)

I started off with Pool Party card stock as my card base. I then used Whisper White card stock and ran it through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I used Tiny Tags stamp set to make the banner and then punched this out using the coordinating Jewelry Tag punch. The little duck is stamp with Easy Events stamp set and then I colored in the image using Pool Party & Daffodil Delight ink pads and the Aqua-Painter. I punched the duck image out using 1 3/4" Circle punch. Then I ran Pool Party card stock through the Big Shot using the Tasteful Trim Die. I added 1/8" Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon and Brads. I then used White Baker's Twine to tie my banner together, then I added Basic Pearls.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Snow Much Fun Money Card

Hello,

I came across a video back sometime ago on YouTube on how to make this Money Card. I wish I knew who to give credit to for making this video, because it is such a great idea! I kept the base of my card the same as the video, but I completely changed the rest of my card. I LOVE this stamp set called Snow Much Fun. Just think how cute this stamp set would be to use on your winter scrapbook pages!

Here is what the inside looks like:
(Before giving this card away, I would stamp a sentiment and decorate the inside a little more. I just wanted to show you the basic card.)

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #220

Hello,

Wow....I am enjoying this Fall like weather that we have been having lately! I am so ready for cooler weather! But, with this cooler weather, I had to go to the Doctor on Thursday and I have Bronchitis, Pharyngitis and a double ear infection. So....I have been feeling pretty lousy the last couple of days. Hopefully, I will be on the road to recovery very soon! I am so sick of coughing!!

For today's card, I decided to play along with the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #220. Since the weather is cooler and it is September, I decided to make a Halloween card for this sketch. Let me know what you think!

For Baby

Hello,

I promised to post this baby card that I recently made, so here it is:

I am really happy with the way this card turned out. I started off with Pool Party card stock as my card base. I then used Whisper White card stock and ran it through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I used Pennant Parade stamp set to make the pennant banner and then punched this out using the coordinating Petite Pennants punch. I then used White Baker's Twine to tie my banner together.

I LOVE Stampin' Up! punches and Dies! Stampin' Up! has made it easy for us to make great scrapbook layouts, cards or any paper craft projects by giving us coordinating color collections, stamp images and embellishments. I love how I can match my ribbon, buttons, brads, inks and card stock, designers series paper, etc. and my project will always match perfect.

Here are a few pictures from my trip to Salt Lake City, UT. Here are three of my stampin' buddies that went to Convention. We stayed at the Hilton....walking distance to the Convention Center:

Look at the view from our window:

I took the next 3 pictures while on a bus trip to tour Stampin' Up! Home Office. These mountains were beautiful!

Convention Swaps

Wow....Stampin' Up! Convention was AWESOME! This company sure knows how to treat their Demonstrator's well!! I arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah early Wednesday morning and arrived back home Sunday evening. There was so much swapping, training classes, free products and demonstrations throughout the week! During Convention, Stampin' Up! has a Prize Patrol to where a limited number of Demonstrator's can win FREE products. I was one of those lucky Demonstrator's and I won the new Hello, Doily Background stamp & a roll of Taffeta ribbon. I will share more on that in my next post.

I wanted to make a quick post to show one of my Convention swaps that I took with me. I will share the other swaps in my next post. I LOVE this new stamp set called: Snow Much Fun. How fun is this card? You can view the entire stamp set here.

Scallop Purse

Hello,

How cute is this little Scallop Purse? We had our monthly Stampin' Up! downline meeting last Saturday and it was my turn to provide a make-n-take for our group to make. After searching YouTube for a fun project, this is what I came up with. I found this great tutorial here. I did make a few changes, but the basic Scallop Purse is the same.

Here is a view of the back:

Once opened, there is a clear pocket that you can put a gift card in or a Ghirardelli chocolate. Yum!! There is also a space that you can add your personal greeting.

You could use these for so many different occasions. Birthday, Wedding, Christmas, Baby Shower, etc.
Supplies used: Basic Black Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Love Letter Designer Series Paper, 5-Petal Flower punch, Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Circle #2 Die, Neutrals Brads, White Gel Pen and velcro.

How would you like to make one of these at your Stampin' Up! workshop? How about a fun girls night out? Call or e-mail me to schedule your workshop!

Don't forget to check out my online store. While you are there check out the Last Chance Items and the Clearance Rack.

Olivia's Birthday Invitations

Hello,

I want to share some birthday invitations that I made for my Granddaughter's soon-to-be 5th birthday. Olivia's birthday is June 24th and my daughter asked me to make her invitations. I let Olivia look through my Stampin' Up! catalog and between her and her mommy, this is what we came up with. She wanted to have a Hannah Montana party, so as soon as she saw the Grunge Rock stamp set with the guitar they decided this would be it. Thank goodness, my daughter was happy with the end results.

This is the inside of the invitations:

Supplies used: Grunge Rock stamp set, Party This Way stamp set, Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper (so sorry, but this DSP is retired) Rich Razzleberry card stock, Melon Mambo card stock, Whisper White card stock, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Ink Pads, 1 3/8" circle punch and 5-Petal Flower punch. (Sorry that I teased you with a retired Designer Series Paper, but watch for the new DSP coming out in the NEW catalog July 1st. So many great designs to choose from!)
